About the Series

Welcome to Mosswood

Mosswood follows an ordinary family through the everyday moments that make up a life together — rushed mornings, unexpected changes, big feelings, misunderstandings, laughter, mistakes, and trying again. These are stories about learning to listen, communicate, and show up for each other, even when it’s hard. Nobody needs to be the villain for something to be difficult.

These are stories about learning to listen, communicate, and show up for each other — even when it’s hard.

The Characters

The Mosswood Animals

The Dogs

Gia the dog

German Shepherd · First of Three

Gia

Gia is the OG — the first German Shepherd of the family. She started out scared of just about everything, but she grew into the role of big sister, protector, and guardian of the home. She’s clingy and needy in the best way, loves fiercely, and is completely devoted to her people. She’ll get into trouble right alongside Medusa when the mood strikes, and when quiet time rolls around, you’ll find her curled up napping with Nyx.

Nyx the dog

German Shepherd · One of Three

Nyx

Nyx is Mom’s devoted little shadow — padding after her from room to room, checking in with soft, insistent woofs, and curling up at her feet for long, contented naps.

Medusa the dog

German Shepherd · One of Three

Medusa

Medusa is pure, lovable chaos — a food-stealing, lap-claiming, face-licking heart-breaker who somehow always gets away with it.

The Cats

Mitts the cat

The Cat

Mitts

Unbothered. Occasionally helpful. Always judging.

Binx the cat

The Cat

The Insects

The insects of Mosswood

The Insects

Meet Arrow, our bold jumping spider who notices everything and misses nothing. Ghost is our Ghost Mantis — we’ve always kept a mantis in the family, and she carries on that tradition beautifully. And then there are the 32 Blue Death-Feigning Beetles, the tiniest and most dramatic residents of Mosswood.

The other members of the household — the ones who show up whether you planned for them to or not.
